Why Plexr vs Laser vs RF
Why Plexr is different from Laser?
The target tissue of the coherent, monochromatic and unidirectional radiation turns out to be a new heat source. This increases temperature in the surrounding tissue.
-
Is skin color and pathology depending
-
Produces a not uniform effect
-
Is more expensive
-
Causes a longer downtime
-
Implies more difficult treatment
-
Is less versatile -cumbersome, not wireless, not portable
Why Plexr is Different From Electrosurgical Units (RadioFrequency)?
Electrosurgical units / Radio Scalpel Delivers Currents with higher intensity (X10) And Frequency.
-
This makes the device more aggressive to the skin.
-
Return electrode pad (current diffused all over the body)
-
Uncontrolled current flow
-
More invasiveness (Cut)
-
Diffused thermic damage
-
Less versatility (no wireless, no portable)
-
Not uniform effect
-
Longer downtime
What is PURE plasma and does it work?
Plasma is one of the four fundamental states of matter. It consists of a gas of ions and free electrons. Pure Plasma is a unique type with minimum thermal properties, therefore, causes the minimum unwanted collateral thermal damage.
PLEXR PLUS ® generates plasma by ionizing Nitrogen. Each plasma touch causes skin sublimation and collagen fibers tightening during the treatment.
What Can Be Treated?
PLEXR PLUS ® has a wide range of therapeutic uses, treating several imperfections without actual skin cutting. It can be used for:
-
Eyelid reconstruction (non-surgical blepharoplasty), including resolving baggy lower eyelids and excess upper eyelid skin.
-
Tattoo removal.
-
Skin imperfections and benign lesions include warts, fibromas, pigmentation, and sunspots.
-
Improvement in the appearance of scarring, including post-surgery scars, acne scars, and stretch marks.
-
It enhances lines and wrinkles around the mouth.
-
Facelift and neck lift.
-
Active acne.
-
Scalp hair growth.
Before and After
How Long Does it Last?
PLEXR PLUS ® treatment involves the removal of skin, making it more than a simple tightening treatment. While the effects of surgical and cosmetic procedures are not entirely permanent due to aging, the positive results of PLEXR PLUS ® treatment should last for years rather than months. However, factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure can reduce the length of the beneficial effects. Additionally, the longevity of the results can be influenced by race and genetics. Your consultation can provide further information.
Side Effects & Risks
Although PLEXR PLUS ® is a non-invasive treatment and is considered safe, patients may experience minor side effects within the first seven days after treatment. Brown marks resembling minor scabs, called carbon crusts, will appear, falling off after around five days to reveal new pink skin underneath. In some cases, swelling may occur, particularly when treating eyelids, but typically lasts no more than 3-5 days. To prevent more severe side effects such as hyperpigmentation, it's essential to follow the aftercare regimen recommended by your practitioner.
Contraindications
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid PLEXR PLUS ® similar to other cosmetic procedures. While some darker skin types may be appropriate for the treatment, it is not recommended for individuals with very dark skin due to a higher risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) after treatment, especially if the carbon crust is disturbed by scratching, scrubbing, or picking. It's crucial to consult a healthcare professional or doctor before proceeding with any treatment regime.
Post Treatment Regimen
To ensure the treatment area is cleaned quickly, it's recommended that you avoid wearing makeup on the day of your PLEXR PLUS ® treatment. The treatment typically takes 10-40 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
An anesthetic cream is applied and left to take effect for around 30 minutes before multiple plasma tip shots are placed closely together in the numb treatment area. You may experience a slightly painful and uncomfortable heat sensation during the procedure.
Following treatment, your practitioner will apply a cooling gel to alleviate burning sensations, which should only last a few hours.
Your practitioner will provide you with thorough aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results. They may also provide a specially developed medical foundation to cover and protect the scabbed area from light.
Avoid using exfoliating wash or cleanser for at least a week or until the treatment area has fully healed, and instead, opt for a pH-balanced soap and avoid rubbing the area.
While most people can drive safely after their PLEXR PLUS ® procedure, avoiding driving is advised if the treatment area is around the eyes due to potential irritation or swelling.
Treatment Results
You will notice positive effects immediately after your first PLEXR PLUS ® treatment, but the best results are typically seen three weeks after. To achieve maximum beneficial appearance, three treatments are recommended at six-week intervals.
